How We Worship
Worship in the Episcopal Church is “liturgical” which means that services are
organized around a set form of rites or ceremonies. Our services and prayers don’t change greatly from week to week. This sameness gives worship a rhythm that is comforting and familiar as we worship. We use the Book of Common Prayer and the 1982 Hymnal in our services. Our 8:00 service is a spoken service and our 10:30 service includes music. We celebrate the Eucharist at each service.
At St. Andrews, communion is open to all, regardless of age or confirmation status. If you are joining us for the first time, you will be greeted by an usher who will provide a handout that will guide you through the service.
We welcome children at all our services. The 10:30 service is our Family Service and we offer a nursery for ages 0 - 4 starting at 10:15 am. Children can sit with their family in the pew or they are welcome to play quietly in the Prayground located to the right of the altar.
