A Mississippi native raised Southern Baptist, Amy left the Church for a decade before finding her spiritual home in the Episcopal Church and its message of God's all-inclusive love. A graduate of Duke Divinity School, Amy enjoys teaching, preaching, and listening with God's people to discern what new things the Spirit is doing in people's lives and in our community. She is passionate about baked goods, boots, and the need for a more robust Mariology in Protestantism. (After all, Mary is the Mother of God!) Calling Maryville, TN, "home" has been a dream of hers since childhood, and she is thankful to be able to be a part of our community along with her husband, their kiddo, and their cat.
Sean came to St. Andrew’s in June of 2024 from the School of Theology at Sewanee where he received a Master of Divinity. Fr. Sean also holds degrees in history and religious studies, and served in the Diocese of East Tennessee as a Catechist and Lay Preacher before attending seminary. Raised in the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, Sean found his home in the Episcopal Church as a young adult where he fell in love with the Episcopal liturgy and its message of Christ’s radical welcome. He is a member of the diocesan task force on Christian Formation, and served as a delegate to General Convention. Sean is passionate about equipping the saints for their ministry as we seek to live as Christ’s Body in the world. A Chattanooga native, Sean and his husband, Lance, are delighted to return home to beautiful East Tennessee.
Adam is a perpetual Boy Scout. His passion for leadership development and service come straight from his earliest days at a scout, and he continues to volunteer with the scouts as a parent, leader, and chaplain. He loves the outdoors, rainy days, and jam bands. He has a fierce wife, Julia, three amazing sons, three cats, and two dogs. If you’ve got a free afternoon, come hang out in a hammock, and he’ll tell you all about how Star Trek connects to the baptismal covenant.
Cecilia has lived in Blount County all of her life, and attended Alcoa City Schools. She defines herself as a walking pop culture reference held together by chaos, coffee, and chocolate. Cecilia now lives in Louisville with her chaotically brilliant daughter Sarah, her chaotically dorky partner Jessie, 2 cats, a dog, and a leopard gecko. The humans and pets are currently competing for room with all of Cecilia’s books, and entirely too much Star Wars memorabilia.
