Love in Action

Love in Action Grant Program

This is our parish-led program of outreach giving. Teams of parishioners are invited to apply for grants up to $2500 to fund projects intended to improve the lives of people in our community. A few completed initiatives are the planting of trees at Habitat for Humanity homes, investment in the infrastructure for the Community Food Connection food bank, RIP (rest in peace) medical debt reduction, and funding of Project Hope, a mentoring program for area youth.

For more information about the grant process contact a member of the Vestry or the church office.

Community Partners

St. Andrew’s supports local organizations that provide assistance to members of our community. The five agencies we most closely align with are: Good Neighbors of Blount County, The Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, Family Promise and Community Food Connection. Good Neighbors and The Salvation Army maintain offices in our buildings.

Church events such as our Holiday Bazaar, Fish Fry and Frozen Food sales have raised funds for each partner in the past. This year proceeds from our 5 centennial events will support our community partners.
